It seems like it’s been a long summer break – we’ve had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Ann-Marie and myself have been busy thinking up fun ideas for Autumn/Winter 2013 and have listed a whole term’s worth of workshops which are already booking up nicely. Take a look at the new list of workshops here.
Our Summer holiday workshops were fun and relaxed as always, and the girls made some fashion accessories to take on holiday with them. We made over the shoulder denim bags, Holiday hair bandanas and appliqué t-shirts with a variety of designs. We also ran a doll fashion workshop for any sized doll. We made a simple gathered skirt and a cape.
Ann-Marie has written a new tutorial to make a simple gathered doll’s skirt which you can use for any make of doll and any size.
From September we will be conducting a few little interviews with inspiring designer makers and crafters to tie in with our themed workshops. Our first interview will be with designer rag doll duo PiggyHatesPanda. They make the most amazing rag dolls which are designed from sketched concepts to carefully stitched and meticulously dressed individuals. Here is Opal. We hope our little stitchers will find it interesting and motivational.
We hope you have enjoyed a long hot summer too. Send in any of your sewing projects we’d love to see them.
